The ADVANCES programme runs for 22 months and involves study periods in five different European countries in order to benefit from different welfare models, teaching strengths and the experience of living in different cultures and societies.
The course structure is presented in the table below, which indicates how the first three semesters of the ADVANCES course will be spent in Lincoln, Aalborg and Lisbon respectively with teaching focusing on a key area of learning (e.g. advanced competences in Semester 1 or globalised social work in Semester 3). A two-week Summer School will let take place in Paris at the end of Semester 2. Although students will spend Semester 4 in different locations, they will celebrate the end of their studies as an entire group at a final Student Research Conference and goodbye event in Warsaw.
